The transitions
What transitions are analyzed?
The Equisense sensors calculate all the inter-gait transitions, i.e. the number of times the horse has changed from one gait to another.
Each time the gait changes, the number of transitions is incremented by 1.
Transitions within the gait are not analyzed in this indicator.
The number of transitions seems high to me!
Riders are often surprised by the number of transitions at the beginning of their adventure with Equisense. Do not doubt this indicator.
If the number of transitions seems excessive to you, it is mainly because of the walk-halt transitions performed. These are often the ones that cause the number of transitions to increase rapidly, without you even realizing it.
Remember to check that your attachment is tight on the girth! If it's loose, the gait can be misread, and so can the transitions!
